Research topic

In her PhD project, Rianne aims to examine processes that explain how and under what circumstances recent family disruption following divorce affects children’s adjustment over time. Based on family systems theory, multiple interrelated processes of all family subsystems will be examined. By linking behaviours on a micro- (observations), meso- (daily diaries), and macro-timescale, her longitudinal study will able to bridge the gap between divorce-related assumptions made in clinical practice and empirical research. Rianne is fortunate to consult Rens about Bayesian statistics, research with small samples, and other statistical issues.
