Qixiang is first year student of the Methodology & Statistics program. Previously, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in both psychology and social sciences at Jacobs University Bremen in 2016, and was then working as a Python web data analyst before studying at Utrecht University. His main interest resides in applying computer and statistical sciences to the study of humans and society.

Qixiang assists Rens in a machine-learning project to optimize search for academic literature, and in another project concerning testing measurement invariance using Mplus. He is also involved in two other projects which investigate potential mediated relationships between pathogen exposure and political conservatism, and between sensory processing sensitivity and well-being.
